Documents to prepare / confirm

Open a document for details
외국인등록증 / 국내거소신고증Residence cardIf applicable

Supporting evidence

From
Your existing card
How to get it
Bring your current card, if issued. For F-4 use the domestic residence card. Tell the office if it is lost.
체류지 입증서류Proof of residenceBaseline document

Supporting evidence

From
Landlord, dormitory or host
How to get it
Prepare a lease, dormitory certificate or accommodation confirmation for your actual address. Use the housing selector for the usual supporting papers.

Select the arrangement to see which evidence to request. Immigration decides what it accepts.

Ask for your current lease (임대차계약서). Check the address and tenancy period.

Request 기숙사 거주확인서 (dormitory residence confirmation) from the dormitory office.

Ask for 거주/숙소제공 확인서 (accommodation confirmation). Depending on the arrangement, the provider’s ID, lease/ownership or business evidence may also be needed. Confirm the attachments.

표준규격사진Passport photo · 3.5 × 4.5 cmBaseline document

Supporting evidence

From
Photo studio or your own compliant photo
How to get it
Use a recent photo meeting the receiving office’s passport-photo rules. Registration/card issue normally requires a photo taken within six months; ordinary stay extensions do not automatically require a new card photo.
사유서 / 관련 입증서류Explanation and evidence of your situationIf applicable

Supporting evidence

From
You and the authority / organisation holding the evidence
How to get it
Write a dated account and attach official evidence relevant to the request, such as medical records, case documents, a cancellation notice or travel disruption. A statement alone does not establish eligibility.
방문목적 입증서류 / 초청장Evidence of the visit / short work purposeIf applicable

Supporting evidence

From
Host, employer, media organisation or you
How to get it
Match evidence to the exact visa and purpose: itinerary, invitation, short-work contract or media assignment. A visitor status does not authorize ordinary employment. Nationality and consular jurisdiction affect the visa list.

Before you submit

  1. Confirm the exact subtype and current notice with HiKorea / 1345; name both your current and requested status.
  2. Check the receiving office, online availability, appointment, fee, originals/copies, translations and authentication before obtaining documents.
  3. Submit through the official service. Keep the receipt, answer requests for more evidence and check the decision. A checklist tick is preparation, not approval.

Official sources, review date & coverage

Checked against the linked official sources on the date above, including HiKorea’s 6 November 2026 manual. A family-level route is not every subtype’s final checklist. Penalties shown are legal maxima for the stated violation, not predicted charges. Official notices and individual immigration instructions take precedence.
