Scope & exceptions

For registered foreign residents moving within Korea. F-4 domestic-residence reporting has its own guide. An address report does not extend your stay or authorize a workplace change.

Gov24 says to report within 15 days of moving. Choose the new address’s immigration office or local city/county/district or community office, or check HiKorea’s online service. An overdue report or a representative needs individual instructions.

How to get it
For a paper report, get the current form from HiKorea or the receiving office and select 체류지 변경신고 (address change). Gov24 links the integrated Form 34; ask the receiving office if it uses a dedicated address-report form. Online reporting uses its own fields.

How to get it
Gov24 lists a passport OR residence card for a self-filed report. Use your identity document and confirm any copy/scan requirements for the route you choose.

Supporting evidence

From
Landlord, dormitory or accommodation provider
How to get it
Prepare evidence that you live at the new address. Gov24 lists examples such as a lease, accommodation confirmation, utility bill or dormitory receipt; confirm the evidence accepted for your situation.

Check that the address matches your current residence. Confirm the accepted evidence and attachments with your school or immigration.

Select the arrangement to see which evidence to request. Immigration decides what it accepts.

Ask for your current lease (임대차계약서). Check the address and tenancy period.

Request 기숙사 거주확인서 (dormitory residence confirmation) from the dormitory office.

Ask for 거주/숙소제공 확인서 (accommodation confirmation). Depending on the arrangement, the provider’s ID, lease/ownership or business evidence may also be needed. Confirm the attachments.

Before you report

  1. Report within 15 days of moving. If already late, contact 1345 or the receiving office promptly rather than waiting for a visa extension.
  2. Check HiKorea’s online address-change service or the office responsible for your new address. Gov24 says the online report must be made by the resident personally. Ask the receiving office about any visit arrangements.
  3. Keep confirmation and check the recorded address. Gov24 says an online report does not add the new address to the back of the card. If another person reports for you, ask about a power of attorney, their ID and relationship evidence; that path is outside this self-report checklist.

Official sources, review date & coverage

Checked against the linked official sources on the date above, including HiKorea’s 6 November 2026 manual. A family-level route is not every subtype’s final checklist. Penalties shown are legal maxima for the stated violation, not predicted charges. Official notices and individual immigration instructions take precedence.
